"Muslim-Christian Dialogue"
Le Quotidien, July 4, 1994
Continuing its religious diplomacy, the Association for International Muslim-Christian Dialogue and Interreligious Conferences (ADIC) presided by Dr. Ali El Samman, recently organized a conference concerning the relations among the three monotheistic religions at the Sorbonne in Paris. The participants, notably the Cardinal Franz Koenig, member of the Sacred College of the Vatican; the Chief Rabbi René Samuel Sirat; and Dr. Mahmoud Zagzoug, representative of the Grand Imam of al-Azhar in Cairo reaffirmed the major role which interreligious dialogue plays in the preservation of peace and justice in the world. They launched an appeal with the intent to avoid the mixing of terrorism and fanaticism with faith and religion which has particularly tarnished the image of Islam.
